Eastleigh 2 - 8 Havant
Another poor performance by Eastleigh, but against another better team. Goals from Neil Barker x 2. Ian Jenkins Umpired and had a very good game. A big thanks out to him.

Eastleigh 2-16 Winchester 2nds
It was a scorching night weather wise, that was about as good as it was going to get for Eastleigh tonight. A really poor performance by the team, but we were completely out class by an exceptionally good Winchester team. We never got started in the game, and it showed as we were 5 nil down within the first 20 mins. Although by this time the game was over for us the team keep at it and as the game got on played better and better. Goals came for Martin Weeks(Oscar) and Mark Russell. A big thanks to Peter Mitchell for umpiring. I think he was glad he choose this game to umpire now.

Eastleigh 3 -2 Portsmouth & Southsea
Goals from Neil Barker x 2 and Mark Russell
Thanks to Matt Ashley for Umpiring the game

Easleigh 2-2 Southampton 3rds
Goals from Mark Russell and Ali Sanderson
Thanks to Nigel Wilkinson and Ian Jenkins for Umpiring a half each.

Eastleigh 1 -5 Winchester 3rds
Another nice evening for hockey. An excellent start from Eastleigh as we pressed well and managed to grab the opening goal scored by Neil Barker. Apart from that the game was aweful. The team spent more time arguing with each other than worring about playing good, fun hockey. After the first goals the simple passing stopped happening and Winchester started to dominate the game. By half time everyones head was down. The second half was much better than the first, but there was still too much negativity and not enough simple passing. We managed to get alot of short corners in the second half but wasted them all. Of late we would normally have a least put one away. Lets hope next weeks game is of a better spirit. A big thanks to Tony Browne for Umpiring, he had a outstanding game.

Easleigh 6 - 0 Trojans 3rds
It was a wonderful warm summers evening, Yet again Eastleigh turned out in full proper kit looking like an elite team. Trojans struggled with a full side to start with, they were one player down and had no umpire. As Eastleigh had 13 player Shane offered to play ½ a game for them, Matt Ashley and Ali shared the umpiring in the 1st half. Eastleigh started strong with a goal within the first 5mins (Scored by Neil), the passing looked good but not very vocal. Trojans came back with some good play but they seemed to play as individuals which helped Eastleigh cut through again with some great passing in the D to score two more goals from Ali and Steve before the half time whistle. Steve also had a goal disallowed for dangerous play. 2nd half started off with Eastleigh controlling possession Trojans only looked like possibly scoring a couple of times but good defending put pay to that. Goalkeeper Craig only had to make one save in the 2nd half as the defence let a player walk his way through. Passing looked good and the vocal side picked up. 3 more goals from Neil, Ali and Steve set up the 6-0 win for Eastleigh and yet another goal disallowed from Ali for again dangerous play. Raj seemed solid in the middle letting Matt and Steve play the ball forward with some good interplay. Injuries to Shane and Andy Appleby meant a shift in players but Eastleigh stilled looked good and solid. A mix of good short corners kept Trojans on their feet. Umpiring for Eastleigh was by Pete which we thank him for, he also has a good fair game. In all it was a good performance by Eastleigh, I think the team just needs to be a little more vocal.

Eastleigh 4 - 2 Southampton 2nds
A great start to the summer league with a good turn out of players. Also we played well for our first game back. Three of our goals came from short corners which is good to see. Goals came from Ali Sanderson 2, Mark Guilbert 1 and Rob Brown 1. Unfortunately the game was stopped just after the second half, due to the start time being wrong. We were supposed to start at 19:00, not 19:30. Both teams got this wrong. I believe another game is going to happen at the end of the league. It was a shame because the way we were playing I'm sure more goals were coming. Umpiring for Eastleigh was Steve Keenor who had a good game.
